Job Description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and communicate with various project stakeholders to ensure project success
- Composure and diplomatic problem solving
- Analyze applicable codes standards and specifications for compliance
- Perform general field inspection of Road and Bridge Construction
- Measure calculate and report installed quantities
- Monitor materials sampling and testing schedules
- Monitor and analyze progress of contractors work
- Maintain various reports
- Monitor and lead inspection team
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Engineering Field
- 5 years experience working with Chicago DOT IDOT Illinois Tollway or comparable transportation agencies
- Certifications including IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities
- GPS knowledge a plus
- Illinois PE license preferred
- A sense of humor
Salary Range: $90000 $115000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant.
