Job Description

YOUR TASKS

This role involves accurately and efficiently handling shipping receiving storing and inventory tasks while maintaining safety cleanliness and communication standards. Responsibilities include operating equipment using inventory systems meeting quality objectives and following all company procedures and protocols.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Follow standard practices and perform all work promptly and accurately obtaining quality and quantity objectives
  • Prepare shipments by picking orders applying proper labels inspecting for accuracy and quality and loading trailers per company and customer specifications
  • Accurately receive store and/or deliver incoming materials to the required destination
  • Must be able to read and understand written and oral instructions
  • Communicate with other inbound and outbound operators production operators and supervision
  • Demonstrates the characteristics of 5S to keep work areas neat clean aligned and orderly
  • Drive forklifts and operate other material handling/bundling equipment with up to 25 lifting capacity if necessary and is responsible for the proper care and safe operation of the material handling equipment
  • Accurately and correctly input data via computer and/or handheld scanner into the inventory management system
  • Supports inventory accuracy through daily operations cycle counting and physical inventory
  • Be selfmanaged detailoriented and capable of performing under pressure
  • Follow all plant ESH CBS quality and department processes and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.


Qualifications :

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection safety shoes safety glasses (as needed)
  • 8 hour shift MondayFriday (8:00am4:30pm)
  • You may be exposed forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise
  • You will be using computers and/or scanners
  • The role involves various physical tasks including bending climbing heavy lifting and standing or walking for long periods of time
  • This role starts at $17.08 an hour. Pay may change depending on current hourly rate

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years experience with Continental Sumter
  • Must be able to work assigned shift for this position
  • This role is an internal only position external applicants will not be considered for this role
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting
  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • Associates degree or higher
  • Forklift driving experience
  • One or more years experience in warehousing/shipping and/or receiving
