Job Description
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Improve product and manufacturing process capability to reduce variability in the manufacturing environment
- Assure high First Pass Yield values low waste and greater on time delivery of products to customers
- Provide assistance on improving the product quality and process using problem solving tools
- React to daily low capability values out of tolerance / quality rejections and support improvement programs (projects) to improve product quality and customer satisfaction
- Timely response to customers on quality concerns and interface with suppliers on quality issues
- Focus on supporting the Operations and Plant Production Floor environment and actively collaborate to achieve desired results
- Lead facilitate teach and participate on continuous improvement teams and projects to support business center efforts to improve product quality and reduce scrap
- Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) through internal audits and other QMS activities
Qualifications :
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelors degree in a related field or minimum 2 years of manufacturing quality control experience inlieu of a degree
- Working Knowledge of ISO 9001 and QA Management Systems
- Proficient Computer Skills: MS Office SAP
- Must be an active team leader or team member and be able to collaborate with plant operations and management staff
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Be able to understand processes and systems and see interactions
- Have good problemsolving skills and be able to implement solutions
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
- No relocation offered. Position is eligible for a signon bonus.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- Bachelors Degree in related field 4 years of years of manufacturing quality control experience inlieu of a degree
- Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred
- Rubber manufacturing engineering experience
- Certified Quality Engineer credentials
- ISO 9001 Experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and lean tools (Kaizen JIT QCO/SMED Kanban TPM Pokeyoke VSM Standardized Work 5S)
- Experience in Six Sigma (DMAIC/DFSS)
