Job Description

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Improve product and manufacturing process capability to reduce variability in   the manufacturing environment
  • Assure high First Pass Yield values low waste and greater on time delivery of products to customers
  • Provide assistance on improving the product quality and process using problem solving tools
  • React to daily low capability values out of tolerance / quality rejections and   support improvement programs (projects) to improve product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Timely response to customers on quality concerns and interface with suppliers on quality issues  
  • Focus on supporting the Operations and Plant Production Floor environment and actively collaborate to achieve desired results
  • Lead facilitate teach and participate on continuous improvement teams and projects to support business center efforts to improve product quality and reduce scrap
  • Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) through internal audits and other QMS activities

Qualifications :

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Bachelors degree in a related field  or minimum 2 years of manufacturing quality control experience inlieu of a degree
  • Working Knowledge of ISO 9001 and QA Management Systems
  • Proficient Computer Skills: MS Office SAP
  • Must be an active team leader or team member and be able to collaborate with plant operations and management staff
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Be able to understand processes and systems and see interactions
  • Have good problemsolving skills and be able to implement solutions
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.
  • No relocation offered. Position is eligible for a signon bonus.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT

  • Bachelors Degree in related field 4 years of years of manufacturing quality control experience inlieu of a degree
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred
  • Rubber manufacturing engineering experience
  • Certified Quality Engineer credentials
  • ISO 9001 Experience 
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and lean tools (Kaizen JIT QCO/SMED Kanban TPM Pokeyoke VSM Standardized Work 5S)
  • Experience in Six Sigma (DMAIC/DFSS)
