Job Description

The Center for AI Safety (CAIS) is a leading research and advocacy organization focused on mitigating societalscale risks from AI. We address AIs toughest challenges through technical research fieldbuilding initiatives and policy engagement along with our other organization Center for AI Safety Action Fund (CAISAF).

CAIS is creating a totally different approach to AI risk communications aiming to make AI existential risk kitchen table conversation on every street in America. The Content Project Manager will help bring the mission of the Center for AI Safetys Public Engagement team to the general public through content campaigns and media that spark awareness and build trust. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with John Sherman CAISs new Director of Public Engagement as part of a bold unconventional new approach to AI risk communication. Were not doing dry policy explainerswere building something new: storytelling that breaks through brands that resonate and content that makes regular people care. This role is a hybrid of creative production content strategy and project management. Youll help produce videos manage social and podcast workflows support media appearances and ensure that content projects move forward on time and on message.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously including shortform video social campaigns podcast production merch creation and management brand development and multimedia series.
    • Oversee timelines expectations and deliverables to ensure highquality onbrand work.
    • Collaborate with internal teams external vendors and creative partners to move ideas from concept to launch.
    • Support the growth of new publicfacing subbrands and initiatives under CAIS.
    • Coordinate media bookings and appearances including scheduling preparation and postevent content.
    • Maintain social media calendars and content pipelinesTrack and report KPIs and content performance and audience engagement data.
    • Contribute to brainstorming and creative development for public campaigns.
    • Use project management tools and processes to improve efficiency and communication.

Qualifications:

    • 36 years of experience in content production creative project management marketing or communications.
    • Demonstrated commitment to CAISs mission of reducing catastrophic AI risk and a genuine interest in publicfacing AI safety work.
    • Strong multitasking and organizational skills; youre at ease juggling multiple timelines.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Proven ability to manage projects across platformsvideo social podcasts etc.
    • Experience using Asana Notion Trello or other project management tools.
    • Comfortable working in a fastpaced missiondriven environment.
    • Must be located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
    • Must be available to work fulltime inperson at our downtown SF office.
    • Must be ready to start within 2 weeks or less.

Preferred Skillset:

    • Background in corporate nonprofit advocacy media or technology organizations.
    • Experience coordinating media interviews or managing podcast workflows.
    • Basic design copywriting or editing experience.
    • Familiarity with content analytics tools.
$90000 $130000 a year
