THE POSITION
Washington County Public Health Divisionwithin the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department is looking for a Program Coordinator to join the Maternal Child and Family Branch!

This role will administer programs focused on improving the health wellness and education of children youth and families. Specific topic areas include: Working with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Hospitals Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) Health Plans Employers Commercial Insurance Payors and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to support an aligned and coordinated home visiting system and ensure the implementation of universally offered newborn home visiting in accordance with OARthrough 0170. Primary duties may include but are not limited to:- Be responsible for strengthening community partnerships coordinating and maintaining community and stakeholder meetings and collaborations.
- Collaborate with clinical stakeholders CBOs and state partners on grant programs; support efforts for integrated communitybased culturally specific and holistic models of care that provide enhanced supports for families from conception through young adulthood.
- Conduct biannual reviews of home visiting services compliance with Medicaid and commercial insurance requirements; monitor program activities to ensure compliance with national federal state and local standards regulations and requirements; coordinate program reporting and quality improvement processes and other components within the diverse array of interrelated MCF projects programs and responsibilities.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of:- Home Visiting Program requirements and systems with a strong background in perinatal and early life services.
- The healthcare industry including public and private health insurance carriers hospital systems and the healthcare delivery system Medicaid and general healthcare system financing.
- Perinatal period maternal infant and child health and development.
Ability to:
- Communicate and express ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
- Exercise keen time management skills balance multiple priorities and consistently meet timelines and due dates.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with individuals and groups who come from diverse backgrounds and represent members of the public community organizations coworkers and contractors be an effective collaborator in a teamcentered environment and work under general direction.
Experience in/with:
- Building sustaining and partnering with publicprivate partnerships and communitybased organizations serving diverse populations.
- Advancing health equity addressing systemic health inequities and collaborating with diverse communities most impacted by social injustice and health inequities including but not limited to communities of color immigrant and refugee communities tribal governments disability communities LGBTQIA communities and other priority populations.
- Explaining interpreting and applying rules regulations policies and procedures across multiple programs and agencies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Must meet one of the following minimum qualifications to be considered:- Masters Degree in Public Health Nursing Environmental Sciences Public or Health Administration or related health and science fields;AND one (1) year of work experience in program coordination development and/or planning;
OR - Bachelors Degree in Public Health Nursing Environmental Sciences Public or Health Administration or related health and science fields;AND three (3) years of increasingly responsible work experience in program coordination development and/or planning;
OR - Seven (7) years of increasingly responsible work experience in program coordination development and/or planning.
