Job Description

The Construction Project Photo Documenter is responsible for capturing highquality photographs and maintaining comprehensive visual records of construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This position ensures photo documentation aligns with project protocols supports communication needs and complies with applicable standards and requirements. This is a parttime position part time that has the potential to be full time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take detailed photographs of construction sites materials equipment and work progress at regular intervals and milestone stages.
  • Document and track changes issues and critical construction activities through photographic evidence.
  • Upload label and organize photo documentation in digital storage platforms such as Procore Dropbox or OneDrive.
  • Coordinate with project managers engineers and subcontractors to ensure key phases and events are captured.
  • Follow projectspecific photo documentation protocols and naming conventions.
  • Operate drones or specialized equipment (if licensed and applicable) for aerial photography.
  • Ensure all photo documentation complies with safety regulations privacy concerns and site access rules.
  • Assist in preparing photo logs reports and presentations for internal and client use.
  • Maintain photography equipment and report any maintenance needs.
  • Support crossfunctional team communication by providing timely and accessible visual documentation.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 12 years of experience in photography preferably in construction architecture or engineering fields.

Qualifications:

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working on or around active construction sites.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology sequencing and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g. Adobe Lightroom).
  • Understanding of digital file storage best practices and labeling protocols.

  • Reading Comprehension: Ability to interpret written documents accurately.

  • Software: Competent in using key software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).

  • Ability to walk/stand on active construction sites for extended periods.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capable of climbing stairs/ladders and navigating uneven terrain safely.
  • Reliable transportation to visit construction sites in Tucson AZ area.
