Job Description: The Senior Philanthropic Giving Officer is responsible for creating a climate conducive for giving by developing and securing gifts (outright and pledged) of $25000 for special programs and projects new initiatives and campaigns with an assigned portfolio that reflects the universitys priority in increased fundraising for intercollegiate athletics. This includes identifying prospective donors to determine their potential as donors through strategic cultivation and welltried solicitations. Soliciting gifts and bringing gifts to closure for assigned prospects is an essential directive for the role. The Senior Philanthropic Giving Officer as part of a cultivation strategy may also serve as a staff liaison to assigned volunteer groups providing to them highquality fundraising counsel and guidance. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Philanthropic Giving the Senior Philanthropic Giving Officer is a vital member of the Universitys soliciting team and is responsible for the identification qualification cultivation solicitation closure and stewardship of gifts of $25000 from alumni and friends of Arcadia University. Part of this positions portfolio will focus on intercollegiate athletic fundraising. The Senior Philanthropic Giving Officer will collaborate with fellow gift officers senior leadership faculty and colleagues throughout the University to ensure that outreach to toplevel alumni and donors is coordinated and effective. This individual will seek to support the Universitys mission its articulated priorities and their athletic portfolio while giving life to the overall core values of University Advancement which are integrity collaboration accountability respect and results.
