Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced licensed health professional to serve as a PartTime School Nurse for theschool year. The School Nurse will work one day per week on campus to provide routine and emergency health care for students and support a healthy school environment. This position also includes summer hours for reviewing student health forms and offers opportunities to substitute in the health room when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care and first aid for students and staff during the school day.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and school policies.
- Monitor student health plans and communicate with families and relevant staff.
- Review and organize student health forms during the summer in preparation for the school year.
- Support health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
- Substitute for the fulltime school nurse as needed.
Reports To: Head of Middle School & Head of Upper School
Position Type: PartTime Academic Year (with limited summer hours)
Start Date: August 2025
Work Schedule
- School Year: Fridays on campus during school year
- Summer: Limited hours for health form review (typically JulyAugust).
- Additional hours available on a substitute basis.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
- Experience in pediatric adolescent or school nursing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Benefits
Hourly Range: $29 $48
Nevertheless pay is commensurate with education and experience and is calculated according to a schoolwide pay scale.
