Field Quality Inspector


Job Description:


Maintain consistent and constant communication with engineering teams and supervisors both in office and remotely

Inspect completed construction to assess compliance to the specifications and drawing requirements as per construction requirements.

Conduct field assessment of existing poles wires electrical equipment and other infrastructure as requested for condition and provide information such as constructability concerns and considerations heights above ground topography assessment feasibility of design and any other information requested

Meet with applicable stakeholders before during and after project initiation to discuss specific constraints that may impact the job health. This may include evaluation of existing infrastructure which could impact new PNM infrastructure installation such as existing sidewalks underground utilities vegetation landowner landscaping etc

Utilize IKE device and other measurement capturing tools to capture field measurements of existing assets to provide to engineering team(s).

Coordinate with NM 811 to locate underground utilities as necessary. Capture existing conditions via pictures and applicable documentation to provide to engineering teams.

Review quality assurance documents as they are issued and review for compliance.

Attend preconstruction meetings to represent client and engineering staff as requested

Perform document control audits on field drawings test records etc. For adherence to document processes.

Utilize client standards and design guidelines to guide quality assurance decisions and reporting during construction and engineering.

Meet customers to discuss projects and provide onsite meeting information to design teams

Maintains compliance with all company and site safety requirements.

Responsible for maintaining all required licenses and certifications.

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Assist with projects as a coordination point between work crews engineers and customers.


Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED and 7 years related experience in quality roles and procedures required.
Must be detail oriented.
Strong Analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong computer and communications media skills.
Advanced technical writing experience required.

Pay rate: $4060/hr.
