Senior Software Engineer - Threat Platform

Overview

AppOmni is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Threat Platform team. In this role you will design and build highthroughput data pipelines in Python and Go contribute to architectural decisions develop APIs that power userfacing features and collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams. You will have a broad business impact by developing and scaling our SaaS security platform helping customers identify prioritize and respond to threats in real time.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Threat Platform team you will play a key part in fulfilling this mission by architecting robust petabytescale systems and guiding crossfunctional collaboration to ensure highimpact feature delivery. Key Responsibilities

1. Architect & Implement HighThroughput Data Pipelines
• Contribute to the design and build of scalable cloudnative data pipelines leveraging Python and Go.
• Integrate and optimize streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka PubSub Pulsar) and analytics engines (e.g. ClickHouse Trino Spark) to ingest and process petabytes of data daily.
• Ensure solutions meet performance and lowlatency requirements for enterprise SaaS environments.
2. API & Feature Development
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams to deliver REST APIs that are performant reliable and aligned with enduser workflows.
3. Technical Collaboration
• Work with other senior engineers and architects to align on system design coding practices and tooling.
• Participate in architectural discussions that balance immediate goals with longterm scalability.
4. Project Execution & CrossFunctional Alignment
• Take ownership of complex projects from scoping to delivery collaborating with Product Management Security Research and Data Science teams.
• Align technical solutions with broader business needs and customer requirements.
5. Code Quality Reliability & Observability
• Champion engineering excellence by promoting testdriven development (TDD) code reviews and proactive monitoring.
• Advocate for reliability observability and scalability at every stage of the development lifecycle.
6. Proactive Improvement
• Identify and address technical debt proposing improvements to existing features the codebase and team practices.
• Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies; recommend tools or processes that enhance productivity and performance.
7. Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
• Serve as a resource for technical questions and reviews fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Offer constructive feedback in code reviews encouraging best practices and highquality solutions across the team.

Qualifications

• 48 years of professional software engineering experience including handson development in Python or Go (experience in both is ideal).
• Proven track record in designing and architecting largescale highthroughput data pipelines or similar distributed systems.
• Experience with streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka Pub/Sub Pulsar) and analytics engines (e.g. ClickHouse Trino Spark) to enable lowlatency querying and highvolume data ingestion.
• Cloudnative development proficiency (e.g. containerization CI/CD pipelines microservices observability tools).
• Strong understanding of SaaS security operations or detection engineering is a plus (though not required).
• Excellent communication skillscapable of explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences and driving consensus.
• Comfortable in agile or agileesque environments focused on rapid iteration feedback and continuous improvement.

Our total rewards package includes the following:

• Base Salary: The annual base salary compensation range in the U.S. for this role is: $180000 $210000. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as the final candidates skills qualifications and experience as well as business considerations and peer compensation.
