You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis position plays a vital role in assuming primary responsibility for and provides direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients in the Ambulatory Recovery Preoperation and Postoperation areas of Oregon Health & Sciences University. Ambulatory Surgery Department at the Center for Health and Healing and Multnomah Pavilion. The Perioperative Services use a primary practice model of care Primary practice preoperative phase I and II recovery and electroconvulive therapy (ECT).
The Registered Nurse (RN) assesses patients needs develops the plan of care implements and evaluates nursing care provides education and consultation of staff students patients and the community. The CHH Perianesthesia Unit is a department within Perioperative Services within the Nursing Division. There are 15 Operating room within the surgical department as well as a GI Unit and Minor Procedure Unit. The daily average volume of patient procedures performed ranges between 3070 patients in all areas Monday through Friday. The mission of the department is to provide exemplary costeffective care to the procedural and surgical patient and to serve as a role model for patient care in the Pacific Northwest. This position requires working/floating within the perioperative services units.
Current RN experience in an ambulatory procedure Preop
and Phase I and II recovery.
