Opportunity
We are seeking a Cleaning Technician to join our team. The Cleaning Technician is responsible for the performance of the daytoday cleaning of the physical facilities and grounds of property.
Responsibilities:
- Walk the grounds halls and laundry rooms daily keeping them free of debris and maintaining the dumpster area.
- Vacuum sweep and mop hallways and laundry rooms every other day.
- Ensure regular work by service providers (garbage collection snow plowing grounds maintenance and repairs).
- Perform seasonal tasks: shovel snow use snow blower rake leaves pull weeds pick up litter sweep sidewalks and clean trash enclosures as needed.
- Clean storage areas.
- Replace burnedout light bulbs and clean fixtures.
- Check smoke detectors and fire extinguishers annually coordinating with managers.
- Prepare vacant units for rental ensuring cleanliness and good repair.
- Report needed repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 20 to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to shovel and remove snow where geographically applicable.
- Requires walking through buildings and exterior grounds daily.
- Must be able to bend stretch stoop lift and reach on a frequent basis.
- Will involve expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Valid Drivers License
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently to complete goals.
