The Office of Student Financial Services at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Business Manager II (Temp).

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
The position supports the business functions of Student Financial Services which includes the offices of Financial Aid Student Accounts and the Student Financial Management Center. The Business Manager II (Temp) will need to understand all three functions with respect to financial administration human resources processing and office administration to make sure we are utilizing our limited resources in the most efficient manner. This position would be responsible for purchasing expense management and budget processing to ensure efficient use of financial resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Manage the financial affairs of Student Financial Services monitor departmental expenditures advise management in financial matters monitor funding sources and assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
- Coordinate with staff to complete travel authorizations travel expense statements and process registration and hotel invoices.
- Supervised staff. Understand campus human resources policies procedures and employment development opportunities.
- Coordinate human resources activities including creating/modifying position descriptions performance appraisals hiring staff training corrective action conflict resolution and termination of employees.
- Maintain materials for use in policy and procedure manuals and training documents.
- Maintains departmental records for Student Financial Services maintains personnel records for staff coordinates time sheets and paycheck disbursement.
- Assists in the recruitment of staff assists with the selection and hiring of production administrative and managerial staff.
- Assists in planning meetings and special events assists in producing departmental newsletters and maintaining SharePoint sites for Student Financial Services.
- Assists in developing and facilitating policies and procedures service as a liaison to other administrative units.
- Coordinate facility maintenance and upgrades for all offices within Student Financial Services to ensure a workplace conducive to productivity.
- Monitors property control and equipment maintenance and arranges maintenance of equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
