Role description:

Arcadis is looking for a Senior Client Account Leaderto join our Resilience Water Team in California.

This is a bold opportunity for a driven selfmotivated professional to take their career to the next level join one of the bestqualified fullservice engineering consulting firms in the country and help shape Arcadis mounting impact across California and beyond. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise and knowledge of municipal water recycled water wastewater and stormwater planning engineering design and construction resilience and/or climate adaptation along with a proven reputation in California for excellence in client management and business development to successfully win and grow our portfolio of industryleading projects. This role will report directly to the California Area Leader and successful candidate will actively participate as a key member of the California Resilience Water Leadership Team.

Role accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with our West Region Director California leadership team Growth Team and Technical Experts to successfully win and execute projects and achieve our clients objectives while providing excellent client service.
  • Assist with strategic growth planning and support of various key market initiatives throughout California.
  • Actively engage with and lead multiple California client account teams expanding business development opportunities and client relationships to strategically grow Arcadis California portfolio leveraging existing and new client relationships with local municipalities.
  • Actively coordinate with other Arcadis business practices to identify opportunities develop solutions and grow our business.
  • Maintain an updated and accurate pipeline of opportunities and develop and lead Account Team(s); foster and mentor highperforming teams.
  • Demonstrate what it means to be the trusted advisor with clients craft and deliver tailored solutions and lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and successful presentations.
  • Negotiate critical issues with clients and potential teaming partners and subconsultants.
  • Travel will be required driving to clients and projects sites.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource or project manager on small to large sized multidisciplined municipal water / wastewater / stormwater projects.
  • Support the development of junior and midlevel staff across California.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil Environmental Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the water / wastewater municipal utility market.

Key Attributes:

The ideal candidate possesses strong client relationship skills with a proven track record of successfully positioning pursuing and winning projects in the municipal water wastewater or stormwater sectors. They demonstrate excellent technical engineering expertise paired with clear and concise written and oral communication abilities. Additionally the candidate exhibits strong business acumen strategic thinking and negotiation skills enabling them to effectively navigate complex projects and drive successful outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include 10 years of experience in water and wastewater facilities including planning design and construction for public and private sector clients with a strong focus on current experience in the California municipal market. A Masters degree in Civil Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or a related professional degree such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Administration (MPA) is highly desirable. Additionally candidates should hold a valid California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
