BUS DRIVER
QUALIFICATIONS:
Background Check Required: (HB 402 ACT 99361 Alabama Legislature) Upon offer of employment employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
REPORTS TO: Transportation Director and Principal
JOB GOAL: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the districts curriculum and extracurricular program.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; occasional lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; some squatting stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. The employee frequently is required to stand walk sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and color vision. This job involves sitting for long periods.
MENTAL FUNCTIONS:While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to compare analyze communicate coordinate instruct compute synthesize evaluate use interpersonal skills and compile. Occasionally required to copy and negotiate.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to tasks that involve infrequent exposure to blood bodily fluids or tissues. Risk involved with travel on main highway side streets and rural roads during business travel including evenings and weekends. Tasks that involve handling implements or utensils use of public or shared bathroom facilities and personal contacts. Possible exposure to communicable diseases. Able to work a flexible schedule. Must be able to travel enter and exit a vehicle without assistance and withstand exposure to adverse weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Random drug tests may be performed.
EMPLOYMENT: This is a ninemonth contract (183 days). Salary is based on the current salary schedule.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation of Support Personnel.
