About the team
Data team at Postman serves as a central hub for all things data. We empower every function within the company to gain precise insights into user behaviors and business performance. We are a team of data analysts analytics engineers and data engineers who believe in impact driven work enabling everyone to take confident datadriven decisions to further accelerate Postmans growth.
The Analysts on the team partner with business and product functions on their analytics requirements endtoend and work together on bringing the teams vision to life. Along with conducting deepdive analysis to uncover key insights the team works towards building scalable data solutions so data is democratized and insight discovery is quick and seamless.
What youll do
- Ownership and Stakeholder Engagement Lead the analytics efforts and outcomes for your business area. Partner with business and product leaders to devise and execute on analytics strategy to drive team and company goals.
- Data Analysis and Reporting Analyze large datasets to provide actionable insights. Develop and maintain performant and scalable dashboards that support teams in decisionmaking and achieving operational excellence. Conduct adhoc analysis to do deepdives and validate hypotheses.
- Mentorship Lead junior analysts on the team contribute to their professional and technical growth. Contribute to overall team success by building a strong culture of inquisitiveness and continuous learning.
- Data Modeling Design and build robust data models and data dictionary for your domain that can help answer a wide range of questions aiding with selfserve discovery and faster delivery of insights.
- Crossfunctional collaboration Collaborate with other Postmanauts both within the data team and outside to solve business problems be it to gather and prioritise requirements overcome technical challenges or more generally to gain domain understanding.
- Effective Communication Package and communicate findings and recommendations to a broad audience (including senior leadership). Distill insights from complex analyses through effective storytelling.
- Central Team responsibilities Being a part of the Central data teams comes with the responsibility of devising building and maintaining centralised resources and data infrastructure to continuously enhance dataconsumer experience and improve analyst productivity.
About you
- You have 6 years of experience as a Data Analyst or a similar role
- You have a knack for helping people make data driven decisions
- You are curious about what data is telling you under the hood
- You have a strong urge to solve analytical problems no matter where you need to get the data from
The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $180000 to $240000 plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidates skills qualifications and experience.
