Job Description
Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with a Mathematics Specialist endorsement.Preference will be given to those who also hold or are eligible for an endorsement in Middle Education.
- Have at least three years successful fulltime classroom teaching experience at the 68 level required
- Provide evidence of significant participation and implementation into practice of researchbased professional growth opportunities in mathematics and mathematics education.
- Have experience working with differentiating instruction to meet student needs.
- Have experience working with students and staff in multiple grade levels.
- Have experience in providing staff development in mathematics content in mathematics instructional strategies and in using assessment to inform instruction.
- Have appropriate written and verbal communication skills when interacting with students teachers administrators and parents.
- Have effective timemanagement and organizational skills.
Pay Rate:
Teacher Salary Scale (credit is based on years of fulltime experience in a related position)
Contract:
Full time / 10 months / 200 days
Start Date:
This position is effectivefor theschool year. Applicants for theschool year will also be considered.
