of Job Duties:The Extra Help/Tech Launch Assistant plays a vital role in the Tech Launch department bridging educational programming event management and technical development initiatives. This multifaceted position requires someone who can seamlessly transition between creating innovative AI education programs coordinating studentfocused events advancing AI technology education fostering entrepreneurship providing leadership for AI application development teams assisting with marketing initiatives and supporting the Tech EntrepreneurinResidence. The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge educational expertise project management skills and marketing acumen to advance the departments mission of fostering AI literacy entrepreneurship innovation and AI product development across various stakeholder groups. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
  • Ability to work the required hours (FT50%20 hours a week/PT25% 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science information technology business administration education technology marketing or related field;
  • One (1) year of experience in educational program development instructional design or curriculum development;
  • Experience with AI technologies tools and applications;
  • Background in entrepreneurship startup environments or business incubation;
  • One (1) year of experience in event planning and coordination;
  • Experience in digital marketing content creation and social media management;
  • Prior work in an educational institution innovation hub or tech accelerator;
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools;
  • Demonstrated history of supporting product development lifecycles;
  • Experience with diverse stakeholder groups including students faculty and industry partners.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Educational Program Development for AI and Tech Entrepreneurship

  • Assist in the design and implementation of AI and entrepreneurship workshops courses and learning modules for diverse audiences;
  • Develop curriculum materials that effectively communicate complex AI and entrepreneurship concepts in accessible formats;
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure educational content reflects current industry standards and emerging technologies;
  • Develop handson learning experiences that demonstrate practical AI applications;
  • Help implement benchmarks measurements and feedback formats for program effectiveness and recommend iterations based on participant feedback and learning outcomes;
  • Assist the Tech EntrepreneurinResidence in mentoring students and engaging participants in developing viable AIbased business concepts.

Event Management & Coordination

  • Help organize pitch competitions hackathons tech talks tech startup showcases and innovation challenges to showcase AI and entrepreneurial talent;
  • Manage event logistics including scheduling venue coordination and participant communication;
  • Support participants with advice and technical assistance to help them achieve their goals.

AI Product Development

  • Apply best practices for AI product development so students navigate pathways from concept to minimal viable product;
  • Help manage development teams working on AI applications and educational technology tools so they are completed efficiently and effectively with clear road maps and maintenance plans;
  • Provide technical guidance and project management support to ensure successful implementation and greater adoption;
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and other stakeholders to include usertesting and performance validation;
  • Establish and report performance and ROI metrics for product development.

Marketing & Promotion

  • Create promotional materials including videos and social media posts to maximize visibility and impact of Tech Launch programs and courses;
  • Help to manage and grow lists of stakeholders and coordinate messages via email social media and text messages;
  • Create engaging content for digital platforms social media stories and print materials;
  • Update and maintain the Tech Launch web presence with current program information;
  • Design visually appealing promotional materials that effectively communicate program value;
  • Design and implement targeted outreach campaigns to increase participation in Tech Launch activities and improve the brand;
  • Track marketing metrics and adjust strategies to optimize engagement and attendance;
  • Use MARQ templates and other university resources to align Tech Launch marketing to University brand guidelines.

Administrative Support for Tech EntrepreneurinResidence

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the Tech EntrepreneurinResidences initiatives and programs;
  • Coordinate scheduling meetings and appointments for the EntrepreneurinResidence;
  • Prepare briefing materials and presentations for entrepreneurship activities and meetings;
  • Assist in documenting outcomes successes and lessons learned from entrepreneurial projects;
  • Serve as liaison between the EntrepreneurinResidence and other department stakeholders;
  • Support the implementation of the EntrepreneurinResidences strategic vision and initiatives.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of AI concepts technologies and ethical considerations;
  • Knowledge of entrepreneurship principles startup methodologies and business model development;
  • Proficiency with digital content creation tools video editing software and graphic design applications;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences;
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in managing multiple concurrent projects;
  • Proficiency with content management systems email marketing platforms and social media management tools;
  • Data analysis skills to track and report on program metrics and outcomes;
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment;
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills and adaptability in fastpaced environments;
  • Familiarity with project management tools and agile methodologies;
  • Experience with user testing and gathering actionable feedback;
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of university branding guidelines and marketing best practices;
  • Familiarity with educational technology platforms and learning management systems;
  • Skills in administrative coordination scheduling and meeting management;
  • Capacity to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines consistently.
