Job Description
The Critical Care Independent Multidisciplinary Practice (IMP) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) for a position in the Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester Methodist Campus Adult Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit caring for medical surgical and transplant patients in the critical care setting. Selected candidates hired into this role will have the opportunity to partner with multidisciplinary intensivists to manage a wide variety of critically ill medical and surgical patients including patients across Mayo Clinic Health system via the eICU. NP/PAs in this area will perform admission history and physicals daily notes order/interpret tests manage medication regimens as well as ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. There is potential for performing select procedures based on need and experience of the provider. Candidates should have a strong desire to care for critically ill patients and have ICU experience/exposure although extensive training and mentoring will be included as part of orientation to this new role.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner:Masters or doctorate prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certification as a
Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
AdultGerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGNP or AGPCNP)
AdultGerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP or ACNPCAG)
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP)
Physician Assistant:Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
