Position at Nuvance Health Med Practice CT
Danbury Hospital part of Nuvance Health is seeking an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join the team for our 22 bed unit. The psychiatrist will work with our psychiatry residents a variety of offshore and University of Vermont medical students and Nurse Practitioners. Danbury Hospital is located in suburban Fairfield County Connecticut about 60 miles outside of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State. Fulltime parttime and per diem options. Monday to Friday weekday schedule. Generous sign on bonus and relocation allowance.
The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible psychiatrist looking to join a long established and collegial group. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply. We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package in addition to allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice Connecticut.
Established in 1885 Danbury Hospital is a notforprofit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital we are affiliated with University of Vermont College of Medicine Yale University School of Medicine Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1000 physicians and advanced practice providers serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Danbury Connecticut located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford CT. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four season recreational activities. The area has highly rated public and private school options and universities. Boston New York City New Haven and Hartford are all easily accessible.
