Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Facilities Services Manager position located in the Corinth MS facility. This position will manage all aspects of chemical operation and maintenance of multiple or large physical facilities. This position will support 4 manufacturing facilities in total: 3 in Corinth MS & 1 in Booneville MS

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining various facility systems such as water utilities generators lighting refrigeration green areas chemical storage pest control etc.
  • Providing support to operations management for chemical maintenance repair and improvement of physical systems and equipment vendor relations and cost control.
  • Evaluating present and future needs for care of one or multiple facilities.

Degree Requirement:
Degree or equivalent experience desired

Budgeting: Knowledge of organizations budget process; ability to apply policies and practices for planning and administering a budget.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Uses organizations preferred budgeting software tools.
  • Compares planned budgets vs. actual expenditure identifies reports and explains variances.
  • Works with business managers to create appropriate budget amounts.
  • Participates in developing budget adjustment procedures and practices.
  • Develops and manages large and important budgets.
  • Evaluates past business decisions and associated budgetary considerations and impact.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decisionmaking process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Level Expert:

  • Analyzes and discusses alternatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Monitors developments in criticalthinking and decisionmaking models for potential use by organization.
  • Coaches others in decisionmaking models processes and practices.
  • Anticipates special issues and considerations for effective decisionmaking during a crisis.
  • Shares experiences regarding optimal timing and circumstances for refraining from or making decisions.
  • Differentiates between content and context of a decision.

CrossTeam Integration: Understanding of the importance of interteam collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate coordinate work across divisions and collaborate in solving problems as one team.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Involves key stakeholders in upfront planning efforts.
  • Enlists formal and informal network contacts to improve collaboration among teams
  • Generates winwin strategies to gain support for key initiatives from others across boundaries.

Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan organize monitor and control projects ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Manages multiple highrisk highcost projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Coaches others in open communication among project stakeholders.
  • Monitors major projects for critical path and actual status versus planned.

  • Monitors industry for fresh approaches and tools for project management.

Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors service providers contractors consultants and suppliers).

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Manages actual and perceived conflict of interest issues.
  • Monitors and communicates vendor effectiveness reliability and performance.
  • Influences existing and new vendor relationships and the approved vendor list.
  • Interprets documents detailing service provisions and financial arrangements.
  • Explains case studies of effective and ineffective partnering relationships and lessons learned.
  • Advises others on the issues and considerations for working with new vendors suppliers or partners.

Construction Contract Management: Knowledge of construction contract management; ability to manage construction contracts with customers and vendors in order to ensure compliance with construction terms and conditions.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Participates in the resolution of construction contract disputes.
  • Inspects construction contracts to ensure compliance with construction laws.
  • Follows procedures for recordkeeping of contractual obligations in the construction industry.
  • Applies commonly used tools and techniques for the management of standard construction contracts.
  • Assists in interpreting legal documents detailing service provisions for construction contracts by an outside party.

Contractor Relationship Management: Knowledge contractor relationship management; ability to establish and maintain working relations and partnerships with contractors.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Advises others on the organizations contractor relationship management practices.
  • Refines organizational processes for establishing and maintaining contractor partnerships.
  • Consults on contractors construction project scheduling budgeting and building codes compliance.
  • Coordinates with different parties like contractors and inspectors to solve conflicts of interest.
  • Coaches juniors on selecting evaluating and managing construction contractors.
  • Recommends solutions to problems or difficulties in construction contract negotiation.

Supplier Evaluations and Certification: Knowledge of supplier evaluations and certification; ability to identify the methods tools and documentation for evaluating selecting and certifying vendors suppliers and partners.

Level Extensive Experience:

  • Evaluates potential suppliers for a wide variety of products.
  • Develops a preferred suppliers list for selection and evaluation.
  • Designs key aspects of and processes for evaluating a suppliers capabilities.
  • Compares and contrasts alternative methods and tools for the evaluation of organizations and products.
  • Analyzes and resolves supplier product quality support or pricing problems.
  • Works with multiple evaluation selection and certification initiatives

Summary Pay Range:

$87480.00 $131280.00
