The Role
We are seeking a Principal UI/UX Engineer to support our clients U.S. Government customer. This is a fulltime position focused on the transition of a legacy python application into a modern web app. You will work closely with customers and PMs to understand design and create new user interfaces using NextJS. Responsibilities include ensuring wellwritten code for code intelligence and maintainability and participating in code reviews. A general understanding of Docker is needed for deployments. Base salaries range from 170k240k with full benefits a hybrid schedule and potential for a signon bonus.
What Youll Bring
Technical degree and 14 years of experience in Frontend UI/UX engineering or related web development.
Strong proficiency in NextJS TypeScript ReactJS (heavily used) and Tailwind CSS (heavily used).
Experience with NodeJS.
Experience with Cypress Testing.
General understanding of Docker.
Ability to write wellstructured code for code intelligence and maintainability.
Experience participating in code reviews.
Strong communication skills & ability to work well both independently and on a team.
While not required experience with Python is a helpful skill for assisting backend developers with code reviews.
Clearance Requirements
TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (no clearance upgrades or CCAs).
Please note you MUST have the required clearance for consideration (uncleared or undercleared applicants will not receive a response).
Location
Hybrid schedule with onsite location in Columbia MD (up to 2 days/week of telework)
