As a Small Business Underwriting Supervisor you will work as a supervisor and a subject matter expert in Small Business Loan Underwriting. Review the credit presentations of other team members for adjudication or routing to higher level of lending authority. Ensure that booked requests meet the Banks Lending policies and procedures and that the resulting loans perform within expected loss and delinquency parameters. Assist with Management reporting in a myriad of areas.
In this role youll have the opportunity to:
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff internal and external clients/business partners and vendors.
Oversee small business underwriting team to stay within expected department service level and loan production while maintaining a moderate risk profile.
Coach/train recruit and mentor underwriting team to analyze financial statements perform tax analysis and reconcile debt service to measure capacity to repay a loan.
Oversee the accurate and efficient use of the loan origination system and completing tasks with strong attention to detail.
Assist management with various reporting responsibilities including but not limited to First Line of Defense Compliance and Audit.
Assist management with problem solving and dispute resolution in underwriting collateral valuation and perfection and post booking modification requests.
Education & Certifications
H.S. Diploma: required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
Experience
4 or more years of progressive experience in small business underwriting required
2 or more years of experience leading a project process or team Required
Supervisory experience in small business underwriting preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Advanced knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures.
Subject matter expert in using the banks loan application processing system.
Demonstrate the ability to adjudicate larger and more complicated credit requests and review and decision the work of others with lower authority.
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related Consumer Lending.

Targeted starting compensation range is based on location and experience:$30.34 $39.98
