Position Overview The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and brand adoption of Mevotechs products within Key Account Corporate and Independent locations. This role focuses on building strategic relationships identifying growth opportunities and executing sales and training initiatives to strengthen Mevotechs position in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain an understanding of the competitive environment market conditions and the strategic objectives established for the region.
Educate customers on all Key Account Branded/Mevotech products to help them increase sales.
Conduct customer and installer training classes lunch & learns and webinars.
Schedule and plan customer and installer visits and establish priority call and meeting frequency.
Perform Inventory reviews and make inventory recommendations based on specific markets data for the purpose of maximizing sales.
Identify and target accounts for increased market penetration and implement business plans to achieve expansion (market share and margin).
Always maintain the highest level of professional conduct integrity and credibility.
Perform additional duties and tasks as required by management.
Ideal Qualifications
5 years of sales experience working in the automotive aftermarket industry (or similar).
Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills which includes public speaking to large groups.
Ability to build strong business partnerships both outside and within the organization.
Selfstarter with the ability to make things happen.
Good computer skills. Proficient in MS Excel MS Teams Salesforce etc.
Resultsoriented and track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
Proven success adapting in fastgrowing and changing environments.
Can effectively manage time and be organized.
Possess innovative solutions to opportunities and problems.
Fluency in Spanish an asset
PostSecondary Education in Business or related field (an asset)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a remote position. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel approximately 70% of the time with a typical schedule of three weeks on the road and one week working from home or the office. Overnight travel is required.
Some moderate to heavy lifting required. (5070 pounds)
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while attending customer events/ shows.
Occasional weekend availability to attend customer functions.
Must possess reliable transportation.
