Manager of Community Mental Health (MCMH) (Fulltime 40 hours) Exempt

The Manager of Community Mental Health oversees the daytoday operations of BUILDs Community Mental Health Program including clinical supervision grant compliance and budget management. Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical and Community Wellness this role is responsible for supervising a team of masterslevel clinicians ensuring highquality service delivery maintaining partnerships and supporting the mental health needs of youth and families impacted by trauma violence and systemic inequities. The manager plays a key role in aligning program outcomes with agency goals and ensuring compliance with organizational and funder requirements. The Manager of Community Mental Health reports directly to the Director of Clinical and Community Wellness.


Responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Supervise a team of masters level clinicians.
  • Support the clinical team in addressing mental health/substance abuse needs of highrisk youth and families through:
    • Ongoing training of staff to identify mental health/substance abuse issues and provide frontline support.
    • Infield support and consultation.
  • Manage the Community Mental Health Program including grant deliverables staff supervision and budget oversight.
  • Integrate and maintain program quality with productivity standards and systems.
  • Respond to funders or other constituents on matters related to direct service practices.
  • Maintain relationships with partners including schools government agencies and community organizations.
  • Submit required documentation including assessments evaluations and progress reports.
  • Participate in and encourage agencywide fundraising events.
  • Supervise evaluate support and manage staff making recommendations on agency personnel practices and policies.
  • Ensure all staff receive orientation and ongoing training per organizational standards.
  • Supervise clinical interns in accordance with program requirements.
  • Assist in preparing program funding proposals budgets and related reports.
  • Monitor budgets and ensure spending aligns with program goals and grant requirements.
  • Other workrelated duties or tasks as directed by supervision
Requirements


  • Clinical license (LCPC/LCSW) or similar degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working with innercity youth/families.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations including individuals experiencing poverty homelessness or unemployment.
  • Ability to operate professionally in the field on a flexible schedule.
  • Selfmotivated leader with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment integrity and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Knowledgeable in agency theories methodologies and best practices.
  • West Side residents are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is desirable.
