Silgan Closures Evansville IN is hiring a Production Supervisor who is familiar with throughput and able to supervise a team with throughput and efficiency front of mind. As a Production Supervisor you will supervise Union employees in the production of metal closures ensuring product quality food safety safety compliance and awareness and teamwork. You will be responsible for safety requirements quality standards production efficiency cost savings product safety scrap control and administrative functions.

What you will do:

Supervise the process to produce metal closures.

Apply written safety procedures and observe work areas.

Communicate ways to improve efficiencies and processes.

Apply SPC principles and basic quality tools (diagrams flow/run/control charts analysis and etc.).

Maximize productivity by managing throughput equipment efficiency and enforce SOPs and standards.

Develop and mentor our Team Members. Direct and assign work administer labor contract and compliance. Foster a positive workplace and communicate effectively.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
What you will need to have:

Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred experience in a union environment.

Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

Excellent computer and communication skills.
