Job Description
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to advance your software engineering career with a strong emphasis on Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banking sector you will be an integral member of an agile team tasked with designing and delivering marketleading technology products that are secure stable and scalable. Your role will involve implementing critical technology solutions across various technical domains to support the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable reliable software solutions using modern programming languages and platforms ensuring secure highquality production code.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications ensuring that design constraints are met through software code development.
- Support user issues by understanding endtoend application design architecture and providing effective solutions.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Foster a team culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience.
- Proficient in programming languages like Java or Python Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and database querying languages.
- Handson experience in system design application development testing and operational stability.
- Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid grasp of agile methodologies including CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.
- Exposure to cloud technologies system design and deployment strategies.
- APIsfirst approach with experience in microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Software engineer who is passionate about integrating SRE principles into their work.
- Experience with observability tools like Dynatrace Datadog and ITRS Geneos.
- Experience with technology lifecycle management.
- Experience using AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot to enhance coding efficiency.
