SUMMARY:
The Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice in the College of Humanities Social Sciences & Arts at the East Texas A&M University in Commerce Texas invites applications for an instructors position (oneyear nonrenewable) in Criminal Justice. The hired applicant will be expected to teach five criminal justice classes each semester (fall and spring). The area of specialization is open but the hired applicant must be able to teach in the following areas: introduction to criminal justice research/statistics in criminal justice and upperlevel criminal justice coursework. Additional teaching areas of interest will be considered.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teaching criminal justice courses
- Keeping records posting grades maintaining attendance records
- Maintain office hours both physical and virtual
- Limited participation in research and service activities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: PhD in Criminal Justice or Related field.
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills: At least 9 advanced hours in research and statistics.
- Ability to: Multitask and work well as part of a team.
- Licensing/Professional Certifications: N/A
- Physical Requirements: N/A
- Other Requirements: N/A
PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
- Some college/university teaching experience
- Experience teaching criminal justice both online and face to face
- Preparing class syllabi
- Experience teaching cybercrime and/or crime mapping/GIS in criminal justice is an asset
