Job Description:

L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems is seeking a Space Vehicle Software Engineer for our Palm Bay FL location. As part of our team of experts you will develop embedded software for spacebased payloads and assisting with higher level integration with buses. You will contribute to the complete life cycle of the software from requirements design development and implementation of spacebased applications. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic team environment contributing to innovative solutions while demonstrating technical competence and attention to detail. Our missions support scientific research national security and commercial opportunities. We are looking for someone to establish their technical expertise and innovation to positively impact our mission.

Essential Functions:

• Actively participate in architecture design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with and lead other engineers to plan and organize the development of our solutions.
• Contribute to program execution as a practitioner of knowledge within low level Space Vehicle Software development and BusPL Interfaces.
• Communicate with leadership on status issues milestones and successes.
• Utilize strong technical skillset able to contribute to requirements analysis design code and unit test integration and test and requirements sell off

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field with a minimum 46 years software experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 24 years of software experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 810 years of software experience.
• Experience with software development within Aerospace Industry
• Experience in with Embedded Software Development
• Minimum 4 years of software development experience in C/C

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Background in developing and maintaining satellite payloads
• Knowledge in space domain and applications
• Fundamental knowledge of computer architecture and networks
• 8 years of experience in software development (knowledge of C/C assembly Python)
• Experience with Jira Bitbucket Git Jenkins and Confluence
• Experience in RealTime Operating Systems
