Job Description

BLUE RIDGE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Job Title: Title I Reading Aide
FLSA: NonExempthourly

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Fingerprint clearance card issued by the AZ DPS.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with studentsstaff and the public.
  • Master Teachers ParaEducator Certificate or 60 hours college credit

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB GOAL: To contribute to effective school/public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries with students staff and the public. Promote a positive uplifting atmosphere for our school.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Small group and 1:1 instruction of academics under teacher supervision
  • Assist students with assignment and assessment completion across all subjects
  • Assist with behavior management and social skills instruction
  • Communication and cooperation with general education teachers and parents.
  • Supervision of students.
  • Paperwork/documentation as requested by teachers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 month position

EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the Governing Boards policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
