The Advanced Practice Provider will beresponsible for comprehensive direct patient care management and will manage a caseload of patients by exercisingautonomous decision making in the assessment diagnosis and initiation of delegated medical APPwillprovide healthcareand patient services that may include educational research and clinical nursing specialist support as well as completeadministrative activities under the direction and supervision of the Director/leadership. The APP has acquired the knowledge skills and judgment necessary to assist the physician through organized instruction and supervised practice.
The Inpatient Leukemia service is an APPstaffed service with the support of a Hematology/Oncology Fellow and Hematology/Oncology Attending. This is a day shift position from 7am to 7:30pm. After an orientation period of approximately 3 months the APP will work autonomously and collaboratively with the rest of the APP team Leukemia attending Leukemia fellow and pharmacist to manage Leukemia service inpatients. The team rounds in the morning and the APPs present patients with their assessments and plans. APPs then carry out the plan for the day calling consults placing orders admitting expected and unexpected admits and performing procedures. This candidate will be trained in the management of acute leukemia chronic leukemia as well as oncologic emergencies (eg neutropenic fever tumor lysis syndrome differentiation syndrome DIC HLH).

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a fulltime equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
