Our Night Dispatchers earn $21.35 per hour and the current schedule is Sunday Thursday 7:30 PM to finish typically 4:30 AM *
*Schedule is subject to change as relates to vacation coverage and other business challenges.

Main Ingredients of the Job
- Coordinate driver activities and shuttle assignments to resolve service issues and minimize overtime downtime and hours of service violations. Complete attendance trackers and verify that drivers are using Omnitracs properly.
- Ensure that customers needs are being met in a prompt and professional manner and escalate issues (late dispatch breakdown other service failures) to managers and sales force. Reassign routes as needed to solve service issues and ensure that drivers are logging in and utilizing Proof of Delivery scanner.
- Coordinate trailer tractor and backhaul assignments to support efficient logistics operations.
- Visually inspect each drivers appearance to verify that drivers are in proper uniform and have required PPE.
- Notify the manager / supervisor in charge and the safety specialist in the event of a vehicle accident or driver injury.
What you bring to the table
- Minimum one year of transportation or logistics experience.
- Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
- Math analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word Excel Access and Outlook.
- Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
- Prior dispatcher experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations and driver logs is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of our geographic delivery area is highly preferred.

The expected base rate for this role is between 17.81 29.76 USD Hourly USD.
As applicable this role will alsoreceive overtime compensation.
