Education Level: Masters Degree
Certification/Licensure: Nebraska Teaching Certificate (preferred) DHHS Licensure (required) ASHA Certification (CCCSLP) (preferred)
Essential Functions of Position:
- Plan and implement programs for children birth21 years of age in appropriate settings (natural environments classroom small group and individual).
- Possess knowledge of human development and interventions.
- Follow state and federal guidelines in providing SpeechLanguage therapy for verified students.
- Serve as an active member of the MDT IFSP and IEP processes.
- Establish IEP/IFSP goals in conjunction with multidisciplinary evaluations and IEP/IFSP teams.
- Prepare staffing reports progress reports and etc. as requested for school reevaluation and school records.
- Conduct assessments (articulation language fluency voice) with children birth21 years of age.
- Facilitate interventions that reduce remediate or eliminate speech and language impairments that interfere with the students ability to benefit from the districts educational program.
- Provide services as defined in students IEP not to exceed the number of hours specified by the IEP team.
- Changes in hours of therapy will be made through the local school district process.
- Complete all the required paperwork and reports from ESU 10 school districts served and the Nebraska Department of Education.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
- Willing to travel and the SLP Substitute will provide transportation for themself. No ESU 10 van or vehicle will be availble.
- Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.
