TITLE: Social Worker
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide supportive services and resources for students and families in overcoming barriers to learning; to promote positive working relationships among and between staff families and other agencies; and to coordinate internal and external services to students and families.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and color vision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
State certified/licensed
Three years of experience working in an environment with children (school experience preferred)
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty successfully

Fluent in Spanish
Social worker certification through ADE.
REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:A masters degree in social work orcounseling is required.
Valid State of Arizona Drivers License
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten eleven or twelve month. Salary and work year to be
established by the Board. Telecommute eligibility established by the Governing Board in accordance to Policies GCC & GDD.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Boards policy on evaluation.
