Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join our team. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing implementing and maintaining a Zero Trust network environment while ensuring the security and resilience of our infrastructure. The position primarily involves working with Palo Alto firewalls and legacy Cisco firewalls with additional responsibilities supporting Layer 3 routing and new data center upgrades.
Essential Functions:
- Design configure and implement a Zero Trust network architecture ensuring secure connectivity across all organizational assets.
- Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and legacy Cisco firewalls ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Support the upgrade and migration of data centers collaborating with crossfunctional teams to minimize disruption and ensure seamless transitions.
- Perform Layer 3 routing including troubleshooting and optimizing routing to enhance network efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for security policies procedures and configurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement proactive security measures.
- Stay informed on emerging threats technologies and best practices in network security.
Ability to support up to 25% offsite travel extra work hours beyond normal schedule.
- Willing to submit to a CI Polygraph.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI
- CompTIA Security CE Certification.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Palo Alto PCNSE Cisco CCNP Security etc.) are a plus.
- Experience with Arista or Cisco network equipment.
- Experience with DOD encryption devices
- Selfmotivated able to switch tasks easily work independently.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
