Job Description

Wenatchee High School CTE

1.0 FTE Continuing Contract

DESCRIPTION: A high school nursing assistant (CNA) instructor as well as Medical Assistant Instructor who possesses a Bachelors degree in Nursing and has the required experience and licensing required for both DSHS and DOH to be a Program Director and an Instructor (a current WA RN license in good standing three years experience as an RN one year in direct patient care with one year of nursing home work experience with the chronically ill within the past three years having completed a course on adult instruction or documentation of one year experience training adults having experience supervising NAs and with no action against the nursing license or any license that allows work with vulnerable populations). Must complete a Career and Technical Education (CTE) competencybased twoyear training course required to obtain a vocational teaching certificate. The position also includes teaching anHealthcare Fundamentalscourse as needed to satisfy the Health graduation requirement. This instructor would need to plan implement and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with building district and state academic and CTE standards. The candidate should have demonstrated skills in collaboration organization and leadership. Strong communication and technical skills are required and experience working with high school age students is preferred. The ability to work as a team member is a must. Must have demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with students parents and community members. Demonstrated ability to organize and complete detailed paperwork to maintain DSHS DOH State and local program standards and requirements is critical. Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this job.
