What Youll Do
Responsible for all phases of planning and execution on medium sized programs and projects. May be responsible for technical excellence on larger programs or projects. Plans organizes coordinates and controls engineering projects in accordance with the established policies procedures systems and requirements. Supervises program/project personnel through subordinate leaders. May serve as a proposal manager to the programs/projects they are assigned. Program managers manage multiple mediumsize programs or a single large lowrisk program. Program value could range between $1M and $30M. Has overall responsibility for Project execution ensuring that Project is delivered within contract requirements standards of quality and safety.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Typical relevant experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
- Masters degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Typical relevant experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
- Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered on an exceptional basis with 10or more years of relevant experience.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Preferred candidates will have Bachelors degree in a technical and/or businessrelated discipline combined with demonstrated evidence of/or equivalent knowledge and experience in project/program management involving management of cost and schedule quality budget planning subcontract management estimating and execution
- PMI certification is preferred but not required
- Responsible for managing coordinating and administering small complex projects or studies
- Experience in various project management activities such as planning budgeting and performance measurement
- Ability to develop manage and lead engineering and construction projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to develop implement and direct project planning
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable project management processes and control systems including the earned value management system
- Ability to manage and direct the activities of technical and administrative project personnel
- Ability to identify and develop required resources to support project schedules
- Ability to logically and systematically evaluate project and process problems to determine appropriate solutions
- Ability to interface with internal and external customers including management and NPO/NNSA
- Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and allocate resources and resolve programmatic conflicts
- Full knowledge of analytical problemsolving techniques
- Ability to understand correlation between projects and subcontract formation and administration
- Ability to present information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
