About the Role

By joining the Fraud Operations Team youll have the opportunity to keep our members on the path to financial success while also mitigating risk through fraud detection. A day in the life of this role will include speaking with members victims fraudsters as well as manually reviewing loan applications to determine risk. No day is ever the same in Fraud Operations!
By joining the Fraud Operations Team youll have the opportunity to keep our customers on the path to financial success. In this role youll verify customer identity and credit worthiness with integrity while following three simple principles: Build a Relationship Make It Easy and Think Ahead

What Youll Do

  • Prevent fraudulent activity by mitigating risk on loan applications

  • Interview victims of fraud to gather all necessary facts for a fraud case and make recommendations for protective measures

  • Manage complex situations while supporting your teammates and business partners

  • Navigate multiple systems and utilize multiple tools in order to prevent fraud

  • This is a fastpaced environment balancing the potentially competing needs of our members and potential victims

About You

  • 1 years of experience in fraud detection or financial customer service preferred

  • Youre a master puzzle solver who loves problem solving and putting the pieces together

  • You have excellent communications skills particularly in conflict and high stress situations

  • You love working as a team but also can effectively work independently

  • You are driven always looking for ways to improve your performance

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Pay:

$19.50/hr

Schedules (subject to change):

Monday Friday 7:30AM4PM

Work Environment: We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are inoffice Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Virtual (Work from Home) Considerations:

LendingClub currently offers virtual hybrid inoffice and fully inoffice options so that you can request to work where you perform your best. We are asking for flexibility going forward as circumstances change and we evaluate transitioning teams back to work in the office. The following are requirements to perform this role virtually (work from home):

  • Have a quiet dedicated space (preferably with a door) where you can work uninterrupted at home. This also includes having a dedicated desk and chair for work.

  • Have high speed internet with low usage during business hours (20MBPS download speed and 510 MBPS upload speed)

  • Be able to connect directly into your modem/router (not via wifi); ethernet cord provided

  • Be comfortable trouble shooting technical issues without inperson IT support

  • MUST live and work within 75 miles of the LendingClub office hiring this role.

  • While working it is expected that you are not the primary caregiver to any pets children or elderly.

Working Conditions

Required to be on the phones work on a computer and at a desk for extended periods of time including viewing a screen using a mouse manipulating a keyboard and wearing a headset. Must be able to function effectively in a dynamic fastpaced call center environment where natural and regular work stressors can occur.
