Job Description

The Lead Slot Technician is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. They also oversee the operation of the Slot Department including supervision of slot repair and maintenance activities during the assigned shift as well as miscellaneous activities as assigned.

The Lead Slot Technician:

  • Performs all repairs necessary without assistance.
  • Possesses advanced and comprehensive knowledge of all facets of slot machine diagnosis and repair.
  • Provides training and guidance to lesser experienced technicians.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures in the pursuit of the company goals and philosophy.
  • Provides superior customer service positively interacts with external and internal customers and employees and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers. This will also include prompt response to slot machine breakdowns rapid repair and having a courteous and friendly attitude/response to customer inquiries etc.
  • Diagnoses and repairs the total range of all mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions including the repair of circuit boards.
  • Oversee the slot repair activities on their shift this will include but not limited to the general maintenance of slot equipment repair of slot equipment and all documentation to support both.
  • Acts as a specialist in both mechanical and electronic areas and accepts assignments for complex repair work.
  • Serves as a trainer/mentor on assigned shift. Works with Slot Performance Supervisor/Manager on implementing and coordinating of training procedures and methods within the department.
  • Assist the Slot Performance Supervisor/Manager with positioning and movement of slot machines preparing slot machines for service verifying all equipment is operating as it should and all documentation is properly completed before games are placed in service.  
  • Maintains advanced skill levels and immediately develops expertise required by new technologies for slot machines and associated equipment.
  • Responsible for interpreting and enforcing company and departmental policies and procedures to team on assigned shift.

Qualifications :

  • This position requires sound technical understanding of games manuals policies procedures and a demonstrated ability to coordinate and work well with others. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures as well as knowledge of and ability to identify various cheating techniques.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal State and Gaming regulations.
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 

The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance within this position are typically acquired through five or more years of directly related work experience.
