Who are we looking for
GHD has an excellent opportunity for aGraduate Scientistto join our growing Lake Charles LA team!
Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Development of technical solutions using standard engineering/scientific methods on assignments of limited scope and complexity usually minor phases of broader assignments.
- Presentation of results data summaries and interpretation of data for review.
- Preparation of initial drafts of correspondence reports work plans specifications etc. for internal and/or external (client) review.
- Coordination and implementation of field work with some a wide variety of field duties for routine environmental projects to include: groundwater sampling soil sampling subcontractor oversight air monitoring
- Field implementation of work plans with limited supervision.
- Preparation of draft budget cost tables from information provided by others and own investigations for review.
- Larger task specific management under supervision and direction of supervisor or project manager/director.
- This position includes an important amount of fieldwork.
What you will bring to the team:
- 4year Bachelor of Applied Science (Engineering Geology or Science) degree
- 03 years experience
- Detail oriented with the ability to balance a diverse and changing workload
- Critical thinking and problem solving ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem
- Must be selfmotivated organized hardworking and have strong written and technical skills
- Must reside near Lake Charles LA
- Ability to travel
