Days/Afternoons (United States of America)JOB SUMMARY:
The Surgical Associate working under the direction of the Nurse Manager and registered nurses assist in the cleaning of operating room and other areas in the operating suite; maintenance of nonsterile and sterile supplies and equipment in the operating rooms. Transports patient to and from the Preop area Operating Room Endoscopy and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Assist in the PACU; cleans patient carts provides snack and enters surgical information into computer clinical log. Assists with the discharge of outpatients.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of sterile technique.
Will need training on proper cleaning standards and cross contamination.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or GED
BLS certified by American Heart Association
