Responsibilities
The Career Pathways MA Trainee position provides participants an opportunity to pursue the education and training to become certified as a Medical Assistant through a recognized Career Pathways Academic Provider.
MedCerts is a selfpaced virtual learning platform that we have partnered with to grow and develop future healthcare professionals through a partnership with MedCerts to become a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant).
- Program is covered by UnityPoint Clinic.
- Exam prep and Certification exam cost included.
- Guaranteed a CMA position once the program is completed.
- Pay increase at time of transition into CMA role.
Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma/GED AND be 18 years of age
- 6 months of experience in a direct patient facing role OR prior experience as a medical clinic front desk receptionist or similar role in the healthcare setting OR successful completion of a healthcare certification (Phlebotomy EMT or CNA)
Retention:
- Based on the investment UnityPoint Clinics has committed for your professional growth and development continued employment is required to avoid repayment. Team members must remain working as a UnityPoint Clinics team member for 2 years upon completion of MedCerts CMA Program.
