The Succeed in School (SIS) Intern supports the division director and managers. The intern position must prioritize projects and organize tasks. Principal areas of management and oversight include but are not limited to working with leaders on report generation managing data and special projects.
Succeed in School is an afterschool program approved by the Church Board of Education that helps youth progress academically prepare for higher education and become selfreliant disciples of Jesus Christ. Succeed in School serves 30000 students and is approved in 30 countries. Succeed in School also increases the reach and impact of Seminary and prepares youth for BYUPathway Worldwide.
Key SIS projects include dashboard updates and enrollment tracking attendance and other key statistics for large student populations. Also helping to maintain a forecasting model consistent with our rapid growth. Successful candidates will have a history of critical thinking and strong writing skills office management skills organization problemsolving and the ability to leverage technology to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
Responsibilities may vary by assignment depending on department and need. The Intern receives assignments from supervising staff. The Manager reviews the Interns work occasionally. The supervisor reviews each assignment as it is completed. The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines work in harmony with other people take direction on each assignment and give full attention to detail. Independence in working tact and diplomacy are required. Sound judgment of Church doctrine history organization policy and protocol are also expected.
Strong background in Excel data analysis and process improvement. Interest in helping grow a global education program for youth.
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They are required to sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter which outlines the benefits and responsibilities of the internship.
