POSITION: Sourcing Manager
LOCATION: Supply Chain Department
World Headquarters
REPORTS TO: Director of Global Sourcing
Scope:
The Sourcing Manager analyzes and optimizes Victaulics global supply base to ensure the very best Quality Cost and Delivery performance are realized lead supplier selection in support of new product design ensures all functions are engaged and/or in communications of projects opportunities issues and actions and serves as the companies leader monitoring commodity pricing and futures to develop sourcing optimizations. The Sourcing Manager develops supply chain resources through direct and mentoring relationships with key contributors throughout Victaulic.
- Direct activities of the Sourcing Department including multiple Facilities and multiple Divisions.
- Utilize the Victaulic Multiplestep (Strategic) Sourcing Process to drive Increased Value throughout the entire Supply Chain. Strategies include but are not limited to:
- Best Price Evaluation
- Volume Concentration
- Low Cost Sourcing
- Process Enhancement
- Product Modification
- Restructuring Supplier Relationships
- Utilize the best in class tools and techniques including Predictive analytics and AI to enhance Category Research.
- Develop and maintain Policies and Procedures that guide the Worldwide Sourcing activities of Victaulic including but not limited to:
- Supplier Selection and Approval
- Supply Assurance
- Coordination of Domestic versus Global Initiatives
- Product and Service Outsourcing Activities
- Manage Supply Assurance
- Supply Base Risk Assessment
- Supplier Performance
- Financial Risk
- Relationship Risk
- Supply Risk
- Other Factors or Dynamics
- Leadership
- Single or Sole Source
- Implement Supply Assurance Strategy
- Supervise the establishment and maintenance of systems necessary for the administration of Victaulic ISO Sourcing Procedures and Guidelines utilized by our outside or regional facilities or divisions.
- Act as Liaison to Revise and Manage Global Contracts including but not limited to compliance localization etc.
- Develop and coach strategic sourcing commodity management and global orchestration. Motivate and mold department members into a highly motivated selfdirected workgroup and team.
- Act as liaison between Sourcing and Customers as well as other Victaulic Departments Facilities Divisions etc.
- Participate in the development in the development and implementation of the Global Business (Corporate) Strategy ensuring that strategic sourcing and acquisition programs support the business (corporate) goals of Customer Service and Sales whilst retaining a return on assets.
- Lead global coordination of purchasing activities by working with regional business units and develop common performance measures including ontime supplier delivery performance leadtime cost reductions and supplier quality.
- Support Victaulic new products development process and assist in planning and launch of new products globally.
- Supplier Integration Early engagement of suppliers in the design cycle
- New Technology Initiative Team Support
- New Product Development Team Support
- Supply Chain facilitate all aspects of Victaulics Supply Chain to ensure Product Launch and Supply Assurance
- Conduct strategic Make versus Buy analysis; manage significant outsourcing project implementation.
- Grow and Develop future Talent
- Employee meetings and review
- Peer feedback customer feedback and project team feedback used in conjunction with 1:1 meeting to develop custom plans for employees within the sourcing organization
- Provide internal and external opportunities for training and continued education.
Qualifications: (Education Experience and Personal Attributes)
- Minimum B.S/B.A. degree with ten years of experience or MBA with five years experience.
- Minimum eight years of managerial experience in Logistics Sourcing or a related Supply Chain field.
- Intimate knowledge of Victaulic product and manufacturing methods.
- Selfstarter Must be responsible reliable selfmotivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to successfully interact with a wide range of people from customers to department heads; from shop floor to the CEO of the organization.
- Must possess an intimate knowledge of the Victaulic business and related processes including but not limited to our costing pricing margin process distribution manufacturing and customer requirements
- Strong analytical problem solving ability.
- Project Management experience.
- Willing to travel both domestically and internationally.
