Greenhouse Technician

With access to specialized equipment and bestinclass instrumentation you will collaborate with a team of highly trained scientists and study directors to rapidly build upon your existing skills set.

Greenhouse Technician responsibilities include:

• Participates in greenhouse maintenance and laboratory housekeeping.
• Maintains clean laboratory conditions which include but is not limited to cleaning glassware emptying broken glassware containers cleaning lab equipment etc
• Participates in planting watering collecting and recording measurements and observation of crops and other plants. 
• Participates in maintaining cultures terrestrial invertebrates.
• Communicates effectively and regularly with supervisor regarding timelines project completion and any issues that may arise.
• Completes documentation legibly timely and accurately according to all regulatory requirements. Maintains and completes equipment log books.
• Depending on area of assignment handles regulated materials (quarantined matrices DEA controlled and radiolabeled materials etc.) potential biohazard materials and toxic chemicals according to company procedures.
• Completes work for research and development GLP studies and documents and reports data as appropriate.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Basic understanding of horticultural practices.
• Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team selfmotivation adaptability and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 135 lbs frequently (3 to 6 hours per day) and 36 to 50 lbs occasionally (1 to 3 hours per day)
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• College lab class experience is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information :

Position is fulltime MondayFriday 8 a.m.5 p.m.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton MD  are encouraged to apply.  Compensation range: $1820 per hour.
