Job Description
AECOM is seeking an EntryLevel Civil Engineer to be based in Columbia SC.
This position is expected to begin in Fall 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Supports project managers in execution of all types of water/wastewater and water resources related design and construction projects.
- Provides construction inspection and related construction administrative services.
- Performs CADD assignments and coordinates CADD drawing production in support of a project manager.
- Provides permitting and grant management support.
- Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
- Supports construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication quantitative and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate proactive problemsolving skills.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Exhibits initiative responsibility and flexibility.
- Resourceful highly organized professional with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
- Effective timemanagement and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
- Proficient with GIS CAD and design software (ArcGIS Autodesk Civil3D Bentley Design Suites Revit etc.).
- Ability and desire to travel to project sites both local and remote.
- Hydraulic modeling experience.
Additional Information :
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Columbia SC. The selected candidate must be available to work in Columbia SC on a scheduled basis.
