Job Description
- Work with Progress 4GL (OpenEdge Advanced Business Language (ABL)) in a clientserver environment integrating CHUI GUI with databases and PAS (Progress Application Server).
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Develop and maintain XML JSON DataSets and REST APIs.
- Ensure effective system integration and performance in a clientserver model.
- Contribute to production support bug fixing and performance optimization.
- 6 to 8 years of total IT experience including 2 to 5 years of handson experience with Progress 4GL (OpenEdge or ABL).
- Strong understanding of Progress (OpenEdge) database concepts.
- Experience working with PAS XML JSON REST APIs DataSets and dynamic objects.
- Exposure to Java Web Services Java XML technologies (such as XML XSL FO JAXP JAXB).
- Solid experience in requirement analysis design development and production support.
- Knowledge of objectoriented programming languages is a plus.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical solutions.
- Work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Deliver highquality code and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system and performance issues efficiently.
