The Asset Management Spectrum Design System Technology team is a globally distributed team with presence in India US and UK. This team focuses on building and supporting the inhouse Spectrum Design System used globally across Organization. As a result the role will require liaising with internal technology teams in Asset Management.
This role is important to maintain ability for the Spectrum Design System team to continue supporting UI development efforts across the organization by creating and maintaining reusable UI components which lower the cost of building user interfaces as well as insuring consistency of UIs across Spectrum ecosystem. The team also provides support to UI engineers building UIs into Spectrum playing the role of SMEs.
Job responsibilities
- Develop or enhance UI Components in line with business requirements. Collaborate with internal technologists
- Operate as a member of a Scrum development team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including but not limited to sprint planning complexity analysis standups and sprint retrospectives backlog grooming etc.
- Design analyze code test and deploy applications/components to satisfy business requirements for large complex projects. Adhere to firmwide architecture standards risk management and security policies.
- Provide production support coverage
- Extensive handson experience with React JavaScript/TypeScript HTML CSS with a proven history of handson development and delivery ranging from small incremental changes to larger Greenfield projects.
- Strong communications and documentation skills & proven history of ability to build strong relations with developers ensure successful project delivery. Selfstarter keen to learn new skills and technologies and drive best practices.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- 10 years of handson software development experience in front end related technology stack
- Experience with Web Tech: React JavaScript/TypeScript HTML CSS
- Experience with automated testing like reacttestinglibrary
- Experience working with other people in a team setting
- Ability to communicate engage and influence
- Experience using continuous integration tools including Jenkins
- Experience managing assignments effectively multitasking and working within tight deadlines
- Agile development experience and Experience working in a globally distributed team
- Cloud engineering experience would be an advantage (AWS).
