Job Description

Ultra PCS is looking to develop a Graduate Electronics Engineer to join our InService Engineering Team. The InService Engineering Team is responsible for supporting aerospace products the team provides technical support of high integrity missioncritical products Data Power & Energy Control Data Power & Energy Transfer Stores Ejection and Cryogenic Cooling products Generic Vehicle Architecture and High / Low Power Distribution & Control systems and systems for the most challenging aircraft requirements. This includes electronic control systems lighting control and instrumentation solutions for military and civil aerospace applications. In addition they will provide support for equipment for land vehicles improving their reliability and performance whilst reducing the burden on the operators and maintainers.

The Graduate Electronics Engineer will work on Safety Critical Electronics Data Power & Energy Control Data Power & Energy Transfer Stores Ejection and Cryogenic Cooling products Generic Vehicle Architecture and High / Low Power Distribution & Control systems.

The Graduate Systems Engineer will gain knowledge skills and behaviours to perform; PCB design techniques and construction board manufacturing methodologies undertake debug and diagnostic testing understand component performance and device selection. They will gain an awareness of other disciplines (Software Mechanical and Systems) with a view to cooperatively managing obsolescence in a design where necessary. They will be a team player and be able to integrate into a team working environment. They will learn to use best practices in circuit design to ensure the correct component selection for obsolescence cost safety and reliability gain knowledge of product development and the product lifecycle understand risks and opportunities and take ownership of mitigation plans and executes on them. They will develop and learn to deal with customers and suppliers to achieve a common goal.

You will gain a good understanding of product development practices in aerospace and safety critical sectors in accordance with ISO9001 and AS9100 a basic understanding of Hardware design and DO254 a basic understanding of software design and DO178 a good knowledge of EMC a good knowledge of schematic capture and circuit simulation knowledge of manufacturing and testing processes and procedures for products used in Aerospace Land and Ground Test Equipment.
