Data Engineer
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Remote London or Norwich

Role & Team:
Are you a passionate engineer who thrives on solving complex problems setting high standards and making a real impact At Snoop were looking for someone energetic driven and collaborativesomeone who can translate complex technical outcomes into clear meaningful insights for those outside the technical space. Youll have at least three years of handson experience and have played a key role in developing and running live production platforms. If youre proud of what youve achieved so far and excited to keep pushing your limits wed love to hear from you.
In this role youll help shape and evolve Snoops enterprisegrade platformdesigned with security scalability privacy and resilience at its core. Were building a cuttingedge serverless microservices architecture with embedded AI/ML capabilities and integrations across toptier SaaS platforms. Youll work in an agile featureled environment alongside a talented crossfunctional team. Flexibility and curiosity are key as priorities can shiftand sometimes youll be the one driving that change. As a Data Engineer you will:
Design build and maintain data pipelines to extract transform and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses and storage systems.
Integration of data from diverse sources including databases APIs flat files and streaming data ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
Developing and implement data models schemas and structures that optimise data storage retrieval and processing.
Optimising data pipelines and queries for performance scalability and costeffectiveness.
Implementing data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Implementing data security measures including access controls and encryption to protect sensitive data.
Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks in data processing and storage systems.
What Were Looking For:
Essential:
A minimum of 3 years handson fresh experience in any industry
Proficiency in data engineering technologies including ETL tools data integration platforms and data warehousing solutions.
Strong SQL and NoSQL database expertise.
Knowledge of data modelling database design and data warehousing.
Proficiency in at least one high level language (preferably Python).
Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins Travis CI Circle CI) and version control systems (e.g. Git).
Understanding of data security privacy and compliance.
Desirable:
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation).
Experience of dataframe processing (e.g. Pandas in Python Spark in Scala/Python or Snowpark in Snowflake).
Experience with or Java
Experience in Regulated/FinTech environment.
